Purple Haze by Manic Panic hair

purple hair dye

Since the main question my blog readers ask me about is my hair color, I decided to post a photo for those wondering about Purple Haze by Manic Panic. This was when I had my hair dyed mainly purple and, as you can tell, had a whole lot of fun doing makeup looks to compliment my hair color!

I actually bleached my roots (instead of my present routine of lifting my roots with the Loreal Hicolor) and used the purple haze color by itself without mixing any red tones. It was a really fun color and I kind of miss it!

I love this purple, do you have any more pictures of it?

Also did you just lift with bleach beforehand and then put the purple haze ontop of it?
I know you said you bleached your roots, but did you mix anything else in with the prexisting color?

Like how you do with the pravana…

I was a bright red, and I’m actually looking to go purple. :) Any products you used if you used more than just Manic Panic I would be thankful to know!

    Such a beautiful color.

      I have a couple!
yes, just bleached and put the manic panic. you dont mix manic panic or pravana with any type of developer, you just use it as is.

      Hope that helps!

          Thank you!! :)

I have actually been thinking about going purple again for a while. I might possibly! If you end up trying anything other than what I used and you love it, let me know!

Ahhh you should! It doesn’t seem like a huge challenge to bounce from red to purple and vice versa…

I actually just bought my dye. Purple haze & ultra violet. Ultra violet I’ve seen from pictures is a bit blueish but right now I’m sitting doing strand tests to see which I’d like to show up on my hair and if I should mix the two!

Hi, i was just wondering how you switched to red when you got tired of the purple? Did you let it washout , oe just applied the red manic panic over it?

Hey! I’ve been meaning to dye my hair purple with this color. How do you think the purple will show up over chocolate brown hair?
