For whatever reason, when it comes to mascara, I would never think “NYX”. I usually lean towards the brand for their well known jumbo pencils and lip liners. However, I decided to pick up a mascara many months ago and it disappeared with the rest of my makeup in storage for a bit until I found it again. I finally decided to try it and was quite impressed…
The first thing I noticed when I opened the tube was the brush. I absolutely love applying it to my lashes with this type of “hour glass” shape (I usually use Voluminous by L’oreal which is just a standard brush) and it makes it so easy to get to the root of the lash.
The overall application is also what I am impressed with. One coat does the job for me with this mascara, however, the thickness can be built if needed with another coat or two. It does not clump up all that much for me unless I’m in a hurry and don’t get to brush it out (it’s a little clumped in the photo). If you need to avoid clumping mascara, a tip would be to make sure to apply any extra coats while your mascara is still wet and to take a clean mascara wand to brush through (again, while still wet) to remove the excess product.
Would I buy this product again? Most likely. I’m not much of a mascara person in general, I tend to mainly purchase lipsticks, but I think this has definitely entered my mental list of main NYX products to buy. Mascara is the most personal makeup product in my opinion, each brand will work differently for others. For myself, the Doll Eye product does do a good job for daily wear and worth some use since it will be thrown out in about a month anyway!

The close up pic of your eye is flawless! I adore the look of the eyeliner. Would you mind telling me what product you used and how you did such a gorgeous line? I have always been terrible with eyeliner application. I was un unfortunately diagnosed with MS and my hands can shake a bit, especially when attempting to achieve a decent eyeliner look. I used the Revlon Colorstay felt tip liner here. A tip would be to rest your elbow on a desk or something to help keep your hand steady (I do that daily). Also, do short strokes and build the line up rather than trying to make it perfect in one sweep. Good luck!
