I’ve been using the Garnier BB Cream in light for almost a month now. What made me get it in the first place was how impressed I was with the swatch I did. It surprisingly had some coverage for a product that includes moisturizer. I wanted something for a quick everyday fix just to even out my skin tone, so I purchased the product.
I like the packaging because it is a squeeze tube rather than one that you have to pour product out or remove from a jar. I prefer it because this way the product stays sanitary and less messy.
It is light, yet buildable, coverage. It is simply meant to even your skin tone out. If you’re looking for a product that is going to cover scars, blemishes, and so on, then this is not for you. It will just simply give you an even and natural base to your skin tone. If you do need heavier coverage in certain areas you can just apply concealer along with it.
The smell of it is tolerable, however I am not too much of a fan of fragrance products on my skin. You can only really smell it when you’re applying the cream, but it fades quickly after.
Does it last?
This product is VERY movable. What I mean by this is if you are sweating or wetting your face (like brushing your teeth or washing off lipstick), you will begin to notice the foundation separating in those areas. Even used with primer, this still occurs. This is the main con that I have about the BB cream. Other than that, it works just fine and I prefer the slightly dewy finish it leaves. To further help the product stay put, I set it with powder.
So, what do I think overall about the product? I think it’s good to have for days that I wear natural makeup or when I do not have time to apply my moisturizer and SPF. My main concern is an even skin tone and this is why the product works for me, personally.
